my approach to therapy is relational, compassionate, and depth-focused.
I use a blend of modalities to ensure a warm and responsive environment, and encourage folks to attune to themselves from an anti-oppressive, anti-capitalist ethos. Human beings aren't problems to be solved but rather an embodiment of experiences wanting to unfurl and become; our task is to re-humanize ourselves with one another and to re-member ourselves to belonging. This is my north star in our work together.
I offer telehealth services only at this time.
insurance/fees
It’s important to me that our work together is financially accessible, so I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and BCBS PPO plans. I also accept self-pay clients and hold limited availability for uninsured individuals at a sliding scale rate; please let me know if this is an access need for you.
We may be a good fit if you want to…
experience a greater sense of authenticity in your life.
foster a sense of belonging and connection to the world around you.
find relief from shame, self-hatred, and self-judgment.
increase your capacity for emotional and physical intimacy.
experience greater internal calm, safety, and settling.
establish assertiveness and healthy boundaries.
explore underlying conflicts driving habits and patterns you’d like to shift.
develop a greater capacity to trust yourself.

PTSD & complex trauma
You may have experienced complex trauma if your history includes physical or psychological abuse, sexual violence, chronic emotional neglect, sudden or violent loss, and/or prolonged exposure to loved ones with mental illness or addiction.
Often, our adaptations to complex trauma present as chronic anxiety, depression, shame, obsessive-thinking, addiction, aggressive ideation toward self and others, self-harm, fear/distrust of intimacy and relationships, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts/impulses, and dissociation.
If you’ve been carrying around this pain, I’m here for you. These experiences are deeply human and our symptoms emerge as a way to cope with unmet needs. Together, we will honor your symptoms as strategies that kept you alive, while building capacity to find relief and become more of your authentic self.

DID & dissociative processes
Severe, life-threatening experiences in early life can lead one to experience conflicting impulses inside. Some people experience a fragmentation in their sense of self, internal voices, auditory/visual hallucinations, and may lose time in daily life. You may also feel detached from your body and/or the world around you — as if you’re there and not there at the same time. At its core, dissociative processes are a brilliant adaptation to impossible dilemmas in early life.
I enjoy working with clients to develop more congruent and compassionate internal communication. I will work with the whole system that is you to foster more safety and harmony in your life and relationships.

care workers
I also enjoy supporting care workers in my practice (i.e., therapists, social workers, direct support professionals, EMT/hospital workers, educators, environmentalists, activists and community organizers).
Care work is life-giving — it nourishes ourselves and our communities. However, care work within capitalist/imperialist systems often results in burnout, moral injury, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.
I will work with you to remember your own humanity and to honor your own need for spacious rest alongside stewarding a better world for one another.
Come as you are — all genders and identities are welcome here.

Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM)
I am a certified NARM Master therapist, which is an embodied approach that addresses early attachment and relational trauma (complex PTSD). NARM is a depth-oriented model that centers consensual exploration on what is getting in the way of a person’s deepest impulse toward well-being.
As a NARM therapist, I orient towards building capacity rather than symptom reduction. As we build capacity for our own aliveness and well-being, we no longer need what may have served us before.
This therapeutic model is the closest I’ve found to poetry. -
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
With an IFS-informed approach, I invite all parts of you into the space with curiosity and radical hospitality. IFS holds true the multiplicity of the self, in which we find harmony inside by appreciating the complexity of our humanness.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
With Level 1 training in SP, I draw on somatic (body-based) interventions to support clients in exploring survival defenses, beliefs, and resources as they manifest in the nervous system and impulses.
Deepening our relationship with our bodies can be complex and challenging. Your consent and pace is centered here.

Harm Reduction
Harm Reduction seeks to minimize the damaging social and physical consequences of human behavior, and refers to a range of practices and public health policies. Health exists on a continuum, and I hold a deep respect for each person's right to self-determination.
